The past is over. Get off those chains that hold you to your past so you can walk to your promised land.
You know what to do, knowledge has been given to you, ideas, opportunities; but all you do is considering? Looking at your past? Your “history” is something the world looks at to evaluate your potential. God does not operate like that. He says that your past is over, forgotten, you are freed from its effects if you believe, just a little tiny bit of faith will do.
Do you walk in faith? Do you WALK in faith? Or, do you rather sit, lean back, wait in faith? What kind of faith is that, if you don’t really follow it with action (obedience)? That’s no faith! It is as good as knowing what to do and not doing it, looking up all kinds of excuses why it wouldn’t work. There will always be discouragement for the great plans God has for you. But I ask you: do you believe in a powerful God, one who created everything and do you trust him? Then you just relaxed, with a deep sigh and bright smile on your face because the mountain you were asked to move just turned into the possible. Your vocabulary changed to “victory vocabulary” from the impossible and the many excuses to “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Phil. 4:13).
Here is another view on it from Joel Osteen on fear:
Read Numbers 13:25-30 to see that only two of the 12 spies responded with faith. Focus on God, not on your giants (obstacles)!
Happy new year!
